Bold Impact Africa, in collaboration with partners, organized a Stakeholders’ Forum on August 9, 2024, to present the final report for the “Enhancing Food and Nutrition Security for Improved Farmer Income and Agricultural Competitiveness” project. The event, held at the Prisons Staff Training College, brought together 40 stakeholders, including lead farmers, representatives from U.S Embassy, YALI RLC EA Alumni, Kenyatta University, and various NGOs, to discuss the project’s outcomes and explore sustainable agricultural development in Kenya. The forum aimed to present the final report, identify challenges and opportunities in food security, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and establish actionable plans for future improvements.
During the forum, participants shared experiences and insights from the project, highlighting the positive impact on farmers’ livelihoods. Lead farmers narrated how the training and resources provided through the project enabled them to adopt sustainable agricultural practices, significantly increasing their crop yields and incomes. A detailed presentation of the project’s key achievements underscored the success of training 20 farmers, distributing essential farming inputs, and establishing market linkages, all designed to have a lasting impact on the community.
The forum also featured the launch of the final project report and the presentation of gardening tools to lead farmers, supporting the continued operation of secondary mini-agriculture centers. Bold Impact Africa is committed to exploring opportunities for scaling up the project to reach more farmers and communities. The event concluded with a networking session, where stakeholders discussed potential collaborations to build on the project’s success and strengthen partnerships for future initiatives.
