Since February 2025, Bold Impact Africa, in partnership with Ecology Action, has been hosting monthly 3-day introductory Grow Biointensive (GB) online workshops to transform the way youth and communities approach food production, soil health, and climate resilience.
The workshops are designed to give farmers, youth, women, and community leaders a solid grounding in the eight principles of Grow Biointensive farming—including double digging, composting, companion planting, seed saving, and growing calorie crops. With expert facilitation, interactive discussions, and video demonstrations, participants learn how to grow more food on less land while restoring soil fertility and biodiversity.
This collaboration with Ecology Action has enabled Bold Impact Africa to reach diverse audiences across Kenya and beyond, ensuring that knowledge flows directly from the global leaders of the GB movement to grassroots communities. Since February, participants have gone on to establish home kitchen gardens, school demonstration plots, and community farming projects that showcase the power of agroecology and biointensive methods in addressing food insecurity and climate change.
